As we bid farewell to 2023, we’re not just closing a month of activity, but also reflecting on the culmination of a year’s journey at Lana Learn. We are embracing educational impact that we have created in both Washington, DC and Vietnam.
Global Educational Advances: A Year in Review
This year at Lana Learn, we’ve transcended boundaries, enhancing educational landscapes from the bustling streets of Washington, DC, to the dynamic locales of Vietnam. Our High-Impact Tutoring (HIT) programs in DC high schools have not just educated but empowered students, fostering resilience and academic excellence. Our 21st Century Community Learning Center (21st CCLC) program continued to offer a space for creativity and growth beyond the conventional classroom. In 2023, we served more than 1,200 students in our Washington, DC community.
In Vietnam, our English Language Training (ELT) program flourished, marking a milestone with our second graduating class. These graduates exemplify the bridging of cultures and the forging of international ties, underscoring our mission’s global resonance. In doing so, we’ve worked with approximately 135 Vietnamese military students, some of whom are building on their English language with follow-on training in the U.S.
Fostering Connections and Celebrating Diversity
2023 was a year of deepening connections. Our collaboration with international partners expanded, and our visit to the American Spaces in Hanoi was a highlight, reinforcing our commitment to global education and cultural exchange. These partnerships have not only enriched our programs but have also brought diverse perspectives into the heart of our community, making Lana Learn a mosaic of global voices. Our education and training programs are designed to connect and empower people and their communities.
