Lana Learn employees foster effective team communication and collaboration with the use of “intranet” program sites.
Lana Learn is a global education and training company. This means that we have staff located on different continents and working on different time zones. However, we still have a need for effective team communication and collaboration. Last year, we switched over to Microsoft 365 for Business, and the tools they offer for collaboration are endless. One of the apps we use regularly for communication and collaboration is SharePoint.
SharePoint is a place to store, organize, share, and access information. We use these intranet sites for all of our projects, including our Washington, DC programs and our U.S. Air Force-funded English language training program in Vietnam. With SharePoint, the Lana Learn team members are able to accomplish the following:
- Upload, open, work on, and share files
- Create and share sites and site pages
- Organize and track data and information
- Collaborate with your team members
- Post important updates
- Stay updated with events
SharePoint is fully customizable which makes it a great tool for different teams and projects. The Washington, DC team uses their site primarily to share information about partners and track program reports and updates. The Vietnam team’s site allows the instructors to find important program links and resources quickly. Company updates can be posted in the form of news articles that can be shared across team sites. We also keep logs of company-wide trainings and resources. Employees can find HR links and information easily on their sites.
As Lana Learn continues to expand, so will our need for effective team communication and collaboration. We jump at the chance to incorporate tools in our regimen that allow our educators to focus on education.
