Our Unit 871 Team Lead, Emile, provides a detailed report on Midterm ALCPT results and the remarkable progress of our ELTP students.
Last month, we shared our approach to preparing students for the Midterm ALCPT at Unit 871. Since then, our students have completed the midterm test and several book quizzes. Their results show clear growth and commitment across all classes.
Midterm ALCPT: Strong Gains Across Cohort 005
Class Alpha improved from an initial average of 68% to 78% on the midterm ALCPT. Bravo moved from 42% to 54%, while Charlie rose from 29% to 41%. Nineteen students scored above 55% on the midterm, up from nine at the start. This progress highlights the impact of focused test prep and instructor support.
Book Quiz Performance: Consistency and Improvement
All classes completed Book Quiz 7 before, and Book Quiz 8 after the midterm ALCPT and break. Class Alpha averaged 94.5% on Book Quiz 8, with 100% pass rate. Bravo scored 86.4%, and Charlie reached 87.4%. Overall, students showed strong reading skills and steady listening improvement.
Language Lab: Building Real-World Skills
Recent language lab sessions focused on listening, vocabulary, and speaking. Alpha practiced sentence structure and discussed military life using audio and visual prompts. Bravo worked on pronunciation, vocabulary, and real-life conversations about holidays and homes. Charlie improved fluency and grammar through guided discussions and image-based activities. Computer-based training and homework supported independent learning for all classes.
