871 Unit celebrates Vietnamese Teacher’s Day, a tradition that highlights the respect the culture has for teachers.
This month, Unit 871 proudly joins the nation in celebrating Vietnamese Teacher’s Day! This is a deep-seated tradition that underlines the respect and admiration the Vietnamese people have for their teachers. At our base, we recognize the enormous contributions of our teachers who play a leading role in the future of the Ministry of National Defense (MND) of Vietnam.
In Vietnamese culture, teachers are highly respected for their knowledge and effort to cultivate minds and souls of their pupils. Teachers are one of the most highly regarded professions, commanding respect second only to the parents.
Our Unit 871 team is crucial for realizing the aspiration set by MND. The goal is to have 30% of the Vietnamese armed forces proficient in English by 2030. Our additional goal is for them to be able to communicate and cooperate in international missions and peacekeeping. This commitment from our teachers means it’s more than just teaching languages. It is giving our soldiers the confidence to engage on the world stage. It also reflects the importance of teachers in Vietnamese culture. For example, heroes such as Chu Van An, a great educator from several centuries ago who believed in lifelong learning and moral development.
The legacy of such a mind guides educators throughout the nation to strive for perfection and to carry integrity into their teaching.
Deepest Gratitude to Unit 871
On this special day, we would love to send the deepest gratitude to all teachers at Unit 871 for your firm commitment to education and contribution to student success. It’s a concrete reflection of the meaningfulness of the teaching profession, forever in Vietnam. Your effort does not only shape the future of our military but contributes to broader aims: national development and international cooperation.
Let us take this opportunity to honor and thank them for their tireless work and dedication. Happy Vietnamese Teacher’s Day!
