Lana Learn upholds its commitment to building bridges within the community by hosting a virtual happy hour with Washington, DC partners.
With the holiday season upon us, the Lana Learn team in DC decided to wrap up 2022 with a fun and engaging virtual happy hour. As a show of our commitment to building bridges within the community, we invited several of our program partners to join in on the festivities, including representatives from the Sandy Spring Friends School and DC Public Schools, as well as the owner of a woman-owned research consulting firm. Additionally, we supported a Black-owned business in our community by providing “Zingabier” at our virtual happy hour.
Our dynamic Program Manager Maya Burke facilitated the happy hour, which culminated in a spirited game of “Skribbl”–an online drawing competition where players have to guess what their counterparts are drawing on a blank screen. It’s like a mix of Pictionary and Scrabble and if you’ve never played it, you should definitely check it out!
Wishing you and your loved ones a safe and joyous holiday season!
