An Indelible Mark – Shaun’s Farewell

Lana Learn staff said their goodbyes to former Washington, DC Program Director, Shaun Taylor, who left an indelible mark on the company.

Last month, the Lana Learn DC team was sad to say goodbye to its previous Washington, DC Program Director, Mr. Shaun Taylor. Shaun had been with Lana Learn since September of last year and made an indelible mark on the company with his positive energy, spirit, passion and supportive nature. He’s missed already! During his Lana Learn tenure, Shaun contributed greatly by playing a key role in developing and managing our High Impact Tutoring (HIT) program. He was also responsible for expanding our staff of Academic Coaches.

Despite our reluctance to see him go, we’re excited to know that Shaun has decided to pursue his true passions in life. He will be continuing coaching/inspiring others, public-speaking, and perhaps the biggest of all – Black Viking Brewing Company. Shaun and his partner founded Black Viking in 2021 as the first black-owned brewery in Montgomery County, Maryland, and the company is steadily expanding.  Lana Learn has been happy to support Shaun in his venture (see photo of virtual company “send-off” with his beer) and will continue to do so. As a team, we wish him much success in his future endeavors. Go Shaun!

Shaun’s virtual “send-off” included the team raising a Black Viking beer to celebrate him.
