We are excited to announce an opening for an experienced English Instructor to conduct in-person training in Hanoi, Vietnam. This unique role involves a collaborative partnership with the U.S. Embassy in Vietnam and the Vietnam Ministry of Defense. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in implementing an English language program designed to enhance U.S.-Vietnam bilateral relations.

Required Qualifications

The English instructor must meet one of the following criteria:

  1. A Master’s degree in TESOL, TESL, TEFL, ESL, EFL, Applied Linguistics, or Linguistics.
  2. An undergraduate degree in ESL/EFL, English, or Foreign Languages, plus one year of professional ESL/EFL teaching experience to adults. OR
  3. An undergraduate degree with 24 semester hours in the above disciplines, and one year of professional ESL/EFL teaching experience to adults.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous English Language teaching experience in Vietnam.
  • Curriculum development and implementation expertise.
  • Familiarity with U.S. Government educational programs and protocols.

Key Responsibilities

  • A 24-month contract with renewal options.
  • Teaching two six-month courses per year, each with approximately 15 students.
  • On-site base hours: 7:20AM – 4:00PM, plus additional off-site administration time.
  • Delivering ESL training to Vietnamese military officers.
  • Mastery of the U.S. Defense English curriculum through ongoing training and coaching.
