Cohort 06 Final Report: Student Progress Across all Classes

Our Program Manager, Matt, provides the final student report for Cohort 06, demonstrating significant student progress across all classes.

Cohort 06 at Unit 871, Lana Learn’s English Language Training program, consisted of four classes—Alpha, Bravo, Charlie, and Delta—with a total of 39 students. The cohort’s initial proficiency levels ranged from 51.6% (Alpha) to 23.9% (Delta), and the majority of students entered between 20% and 40% ALCPT proficiency. Over the six-month cycle, students completed 11 ALC Book Quizzes and three ALCPT proficiency tests. Thanks to the commitment of our instructors and the strong foundations of our program, we observed significant progress for all of our classes in this cohort.

Cohort-Wide Growth

All classes demonstrated measurable improvement from initial to final ALCPT. The average ALCPT growth for our students in Cohort 06 was 16.0 points, demonstrating a significant 45.93% increase in scores. 6 students passed the 55-point benchmark, making them qualified for follow-on training.

Book Quiz Performance

  • Across all 11 book quizzes, class averages ranged from 80% to 97%.
  • Alpha: Consistently high scores, with averages above 90% in most quizzes.
  • Bravo: Maintained averages in the low 90s, with strong recovery after dips.
  • Charlie: Averaged in the mid-80s, with notable improvement after performance drops.
  • Delta: Averaged in the low 80s, showing strong effort and progress despite foundational challenges.

Conclusion

Cohort 06 demonstrated consistent and measurable improvement across all levels, with the strongest outcomes achieved by learners who entered the program with an initial ALCPT score above 35 points. Targeted refinements in early intervention, listening development, and instructional alignment will further strengthen outcomes in future cohorts.
